COVID-19 Preparation efforts

As a valued business partner, I want to assure you that Crown Health Care Laundry Services views its role in providing quality linens and related textiles as mission critical in helping you care for patients with the coronavirus and other illnesses. As such, we are closely monitoring and responding to the developing circumstances surrounding COVID-19.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has addressed directly issues associated with linen that may be exposed to the virus. According to CDC’s “Interim Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Patients with Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) or Persons Under Investigation for COVID-19 in Healthcare Settings,” the “Management of laundry, food service utensils, and medical waste should be performed in accordance with routine procedures.”

Crown will continue to disinfect all healthcare textiles utilizing our industry leading disinfection process (Ecolab’s AdvaCare TM and peracetic acid) to continue to provide our Customers with the highest-level of healthcare textiles in the industry. Further, our employees will continue to handle all soiled linen with standard / universal precautions. All Crown Health Care Laundry plants are dual certified by HLAC (Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council) and TRSA’s Hygienically Clean Certification Program.

As it relates to linen supply and business continuity, over the past month, our supply chain team has worked diligently with our core providers of linen. Crown currently has and anticipates maintaining appropriate inventory levels of core linen items. Additionally, we are investigating and attempting to source reusable surgical items as an alternative to disposable products.

During this unprecedented time for our industry and our country, we want to do everything we can to support your business. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (844) 383-7500, info@crownlaundry.com, or your Crown Healthcare representative.
